Cooking Ahead Pancakes

It's a Snow Day here in Missouri. This is a great Day to make extra Pancakes and freeze for the month to come.
I put 8 to 10 in freezer baggies . Now all we have to do is throw some on a plate and pop them in the microwave.

Buffalo Wings for Super Bowl Party

!!  Its GAME DAY   !!

I'm hungry, I have a nice drink in hand and my mouth is still watering.
I need meat at my Party.

I need some Buffalo Wings!!

Make it simple and make alot is the motto!!


Ingredients

  • 24 whole chicken drumsticks
  • 6 ounces unsalted butter
  • 2 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion minced
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Molasses
  • 1 Tsp kosher salt



Directions

Boil wings for 10 minutes in Large Sauce Pan of water.
Remove the wings and pat dry. Let wings cool on cookie sheet in fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
 Roast on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes.
 Turn over wings  cook another 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through and the skin is a nice crispy golden brown.
While chicken is roasting, melt the butter in a small bowl along with the garlic and onion, add molasses and hot sauce.
 Pour mixture into  a bowl large enough to hold all of the chicken.
Remove the wings from the oven and transfer to a bowl and then toss them with the sauce.
 Serve warm with Blue Cheese, Ranch and Celery.


Hummus Recipe for Superbowl Party.

 Easy Hummus Recipe for Game Day

You can make a large amount of this Recipe and it will not Break the Bank.
!Perfect for Game Day!
Serve it with Pita or Tortilla Chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1  can garbanzo beans
  • reserve  half the liquid 
  • 2 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Olive OIil
  • 4 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic chopped(or 1Tsp Minced
  • black pepper 
  • Cilanto or Parsley for Garnish
  • **If you want to add some spice, add 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

  1. Blend the garbanzo beans and garlic . Then add lemon juice, tahini, and salt in blender. 
  2. Blend until it is creamy and mixed well.
  3. Transfer the bean mixture into a  serving bowl. 
  4. Sprinkle pepper over the top and drizzle with Olive Oil
  5. Garnish with cilantro or Parsley.

SuperBowl Party Mixed Drink Ideas


Super Bowl XLVI (Giants vs Patriots) is 
on SundayFebruary 5, 2012, at 5:30pm CT.

At Every Superbowl Party I have been to
the men are perfectly happy having a beer.

That is why there are so many beer commercials during the game.

The Women usually want a little something extra 
in the line of mixed drinks. 

These drinks will not put a huge dent in your budget.
They are basic fun  to add some spice to your drink line up!!

The Ingredients are so simple:
  • Beer
  • Orange Soda
  • Lemonade
  • 1-2 Oranges (halved and thinly sliced)
  • 1-2 Lemons (halved and thinly sliced)



Orange Shandy

Fill cup Half way with Ice
Add equal Parts Beer and Orange Soda
Top with a  Orange Slice and sprig of mint or cilantro



Lemon Shandy

Fill cup Half way with Ice
Add equal Parts Beer and Lemonade
Top with an Orange Slice and sprig of mint or cilantro

Velveeta Cheese Dip for SuperBowl Football Party.

My mom makes THE BEST Cheese Dip!
This is definitely a Touchdown Recipe.
  1. Brown 1 1b ground beef and strain. 
  2. In Microwave, Combine  1 Package Velveeta cut into cubes and 1 can rotel for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir occasionally.
  4. Add your Browned Ground Beef to the Velveeta and pour into Crockpot.
  5. It is ready to serve. Keep on low heat to avoid it burning or drying out.
  6. If it gets dry during the game, add a little milk and stir it.
  7. Yumm!!
